Crib 5 vs Crib 7 Summary
Cowens manufactures UK-made flame-retardant barrier felts compliant with BS 5852 fire safety standards and IMO FTP regulations. Designed to protect upholstery fillings and enhance padding, these interliners undergo rigorous fire resistance testing, including water soak evaluations.
Crib 5: Tested to BS 5852 Ignition Source 5 over non-FR foam, it is widely used in commercial furniture, curtains, soft furnishings, and headboards.

Land Remediation Summary | Story Homes Project
Cowens Ltd successfully completed full land remediation for a residential housing development by Story Homes using dual-phase high vacuum extraction (DPHVE). Dealing with free-phase product, dissolved-phase contaminants, and a high water table, Cowens removed volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and vapour-phase pollution efficiently where in-situ bioremediation was unsuitable.
By optimizing well zones of influence via in-line FID VOC analysis, telemetry monitoring, and asymptotic mass recovery principles, Cowens delivered best-value environmental remediation—enabling early civils work, accelerating project timelines, and achieving complete regulatory compliance on budget.
